Sock boots that actually fit like socks. Fenn runs a close shaft straight up from a square toe with no zip and no seam at the back, so the whole thing pulls on and then holds the ankle without slouching. The heel is stacked and squared to match the toe, high enough to change your posture and low enough to walk on. These square toe sock boots come in black and a deep brown, and both read cleaner than a boot with hardware on it. Wear them with cropped trousers so the ankle line stays visible.

Stretch ankle boots read best with a sheer sock or tight showing above the shaft, which is how every photo here was shot.
